If you are a hot mess and thought about skipping out on a restaurant bill, you could learn a thing or two from the man in the mugshot. 43-year old Andrew Palmer pleaded guilty last week to one count of theft scheme and was sentenced to the maximum allowed of 18 years in jail.
While dining at restaurants between April and July, Palmer took skipping out on a bill to another level by faking seizures that prompted medical attention. He figured restaurant workers would feel bad sticking him with a bill on his way to the hospital. One officer claims he has witnessed Palmer rolling from side to side and spitting on the floor of a crowded restaurant.
Palmer was often arrested when he pulled of his scheme. At one point he was being arrested every other day. However; he did no real time because his thefts were under $100 and he could post bail.
Palmer is no stranger to arrests and jail. According to police records he has been arrested over 80 times and convicted of more than 40 crimes since 1985.
Andrew won”t have to worry about faking seizures for a while. He got three hots and a cot on us for 18 months. You can’t beat that deal.
